ETHIOPIAN WORDS: AT THE RESTAURANT/CAFE

Please note that our Ethiopian words and phrases collection is developed using a different approach. We know that learning a new language is difficult. More so when one tries to learn Ethiopian words and phrases as there are alphabeths pronounced differently. Our effort therefore is not to provide tourists with Ethiopian words and phrases in their formal context. Rather we pick the word or phrase easier for a tourist to communicate. For example " how are you" can be said in using different words and phrases, depending on sex and age. Rather than providing a tourist with a list of words which are hard to pronounce, we took the measure of picking simple words like "Selam".
